If this sounds like you, Tree House Friends is the place to be! We provide children aged 2-5 years with the opportunity to explore the natural world around them. As a Forest Nursery Educator, you will help develop children’s connection to nature, inspire their creativity, and build their resilience and confidence, equipping them with skills to thrive in today’s fast-paced world.

The Role

As a Forest Nursery Educator, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of daily activities in the forest and at the indoor site.

  • Role modelling and promoting the setting’s philosophy and ethos.

  • Bringing energy and creativity to the role.

  • Guiding children and creating an environment that encourages child-led, play-based learning.

Location:

Trent Country Park (Cockfosters, Barnet/Enfield)

Up to £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.

  • Experience working with 2-5-year-olds.

  • Forest School or outdoor experience (desirable but not essential).

  • A genuine passion for nature play and engaging children with the outdoors.

  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.

  • Good understanding of safeguarding children obligations.

  • Highly organised, reliable, and a driven team player.

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills to engage with parents and colleagues.

  • The ability to adapt quickly, demonstrate flexibility, and use initiative.
