Volunteer

There are many reasons why volunteering could be a great opportunity:

  • give something back to an organisation that has an impacted on your community and wildlife directly or indirectly

  • make a difference to the lives of others

  • help the environment

  • feel valued and part of a team

  • spend quality time away from work or a busy lifestyle

  • gain confidence and self-esteem.

For some, volunteering can be a route to employment, or a chance to try something new which may lead to a career change. From this perspective, volunteering can be a way of:

  • gaining new skills, knowledge and experience

  • developing existing skills and knowledge

  • enhancing a CV

  • improving one's employment prospects

  • gaining an accreditation

  • using one's professional skills and knowledge to benefit others (usually described as pro bono).

For others, volunteering appeals because of its social benefits. These include:

  • meeting new people and making new friends

  • a chance to socialise

  • getting to know the local community.

There is lots of anecdotal evidence that volunteering has a positive impact on health.

Let us know why you want to volunteer and we will try and help you as best as we can.

Join Us

We are always looking for special individuals who are passionate and promote our vision to get more children outdoors. Send in your CV to info@treehousefriends.co.uk with the subject CAREERS if you’d be interested in joining our team.

We spend from 9:00am to 3:00pm outdoors, year round, no matter the weather. We employ people with a passion for love of nature and life and the understanding of why nature is so important for mental health, after all play is the highest form of research - Einstein knew that and we do, too!

We welcome applications from practitioners qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Early Years childcare but also accept applications from non-qualified candidates who share our desire to reconnect children with nature. Any Forest School qualifications or experience are a bonus but not a requirement.

We offer a beautiful setting with amazing people.

Make the difference in your life-style, community and live life to the fullest.
